Tesco shoppers could lose £17m worth of Clubcard vouchers that are set to expire

Tesco Clubcard vouchers are useful for many things.

Not only can you receive discounts in store, you could also find deals when eating out or booking a holiday.

And now shoppers have been warned they have £17m worth of unspent vouchers to use before they expire in May.

The vouchers were issued in May 2020 and must be used by the 31st of this month.

Often Tesco vouchers are issued every three months in February, May, August and November, as they're valid for two years.

Using a Clubcard in store is handy as you build up points which you can redeem in stores.

Shoppers get one point for every £1 they spend in store and online, or one point for every £2 spent on fuel.

Tesco's chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: "We know it's tough right now.

"This why we want to show customers all the ways we can help them spend less."

The supermarket giant will contact customers via email if they have Clubcard vouchers due to expire.

Fortunately you can track down lost Clubcard vouchers by logging onto the website with your account details.

Once you're logged on, click on "My Clubcard Account", then "Vouchers" where you'll see the ones you have left to spend.

You can spend any leftover vouchers online straight away, or print them out from home if you would rather use them in store.

If yours are close to expiring, but you do not want to spend them just yet, there is a trick to extend them.

Shoppers can turn coupons into Faster Vouchers and they will last 21 months from the date you convert your vouchers.
