MANY of us waste hours on end scrolling through our phones, but this bloke has found a unique way to keep himself entertained on Instagram.
Comedian John Purcell likes trolling strangers by leaving random comments on their photos – which make absolutely no sense whatsoever.
None of the social media elite are off limit and, although this lot are racking up thousands of likes, they cannot escape the New Yorker’s bizarre sense of humour.
Even Corrie babe Michelle Keegan has been the butt of John’s jokes.
John also has a Tumblr page called Hello Stranger dedicated to the comments, which he started leaving in December 2013.
On the page, he proudly explains: "I leave comments on complete strangers' Instagram photos."
John told Mashable: "It's just a fun, silly thing to do.
"I never post mean or abusive comments on anyone's photos.
"The point isn't to make fun of anyone. Just to post a comment that makes absolutely no sense in relation to the photo."

John normally only posts on pictures with thousands of likes, so his funny remarks often go unnoitced.
"I'd say every one in fifteen will respond and it's almost always 'lol wtf'," he said.
While once someone tried to play John at his own game with a random comment on HIS photos.
But, sadly, John's account is now private. Spoil sport!
