Crafty TikTok star Corey O’Brien whipped up his own version of Kylie Jenner’s “disturbing” Schiaparelli lion head dress with a few simple household items, proving you don’t need to buy couture to make a major style statement.

“The second I saw this dress and all the attention surrounding it, I knew I was going to put my own spin on it,” O’Brien tells Page Six Style.

Jenner wore the eerily realistic (but PETA-approved) animal head — made from “hand-sculpted foam [and] wool and silk faux fur, and hand painted to look as life-like as possible,” as the brand shared on Instagram — to take in the Schiaparelli Haute Couture show Monday.

O’Brien, meanwhile, achieved the look with a $13 dress from H&M and a decapitated teddy bear.

For the mane event, he used faux fur from the craft store to transform the cuddly cub into the king of the jungle.

“One of my favorite things to do is take these fashion moments and turn them into my own, with a mix of humor and creativity. I know there was an uproar – pun intended – over this dress, but I just wanted to have fun with this and make people laugh,” O’Brien quips.

The DIYer even tried his hand at hairdressing, cutting his lion’s “mane” to give it layers before supergluing the fierce creature to the front of his dress.

“Luckily, it stayed on with no issue,” O’Brien tells us.

“You can make a quality look without a huge quantity of money,” he told us at the time.

“Social media has become a contest of who can be the prettiest or most muscular, but I’ve been able to create a space where I can dance, make a fun outfit, laugh, and have a good time, and I think we could all use more of that in our lives.”
