Carl King was announced as a character on the soap back in 2004 when producers said they were bringing in “four new single hunks.”

Describing his character at the time, itv.com said: "Carl is a bit of a womanizer and a ladies' man. As one of the younger King brothers he's always had to fight for his place in the family.”

Tom’s last appearance as Carl was on 18 October 2012, and he was killed off after being hit over the head after a series of big storylines which made him an iconic character on the soap.
