A lot of people end up regretting their tattoos later down the line.
But one woman didn't think she would – until she found out her inking's secret meaning.
Brittany Lewin, who is from the US, was overjoyed with her pineapple tattoo on her arm.
That was until her friend told her to Google the hidden meaning behind the fruit.
Alongside a video captioned: 'When you realise you’ve made a mistake,' Brittany took to TikTok on her @b_brittanylewin account to show off the new upside down pineapple inking on her arm.
For those who aren't familiar, an upside down pineapple is often a symbol used by anyone looking for a swinger party.
According to Eye Spy, a pineapple placed on the porch or mailbox of a house also signifies a swinger party is currently going on inside.
Swingers also reportedly identify each other in public by opting for clothes which feature the fruit.
TikTok fans were quick to take to the comments section to express their amusement at Brittany's revelation.
"I've thought this every video I’ve seen of you. I just thought each to their own," wrote one.
While a second added: "Yep, every time I see it I was thinking to myself 'Does she know?'"
A third chimed in, quipping: "Freakin' hilarious."
And a fourth added: "Well you wouldn't win either way. Even if you put it the right way up, when you put your arm back down from behind it'd still be upside down."
Whoops, let's hope she doesn't find herself in any awkward situations anytime soon.
Also in tattoo news this week, a woman told Daily Star she feared she's never get a job after shaving her hair and tattooing her face.
However, Milana Pulliainen, 30, from Finland, is now happily working as a nurse.
Milana commented: “At the age of 17 I got my first tattoo. I never thought I wanted many tattoos because I didn’t dare.
“At first I thought I wouldn’t get a job or people would start talking about me a lot, but the tattoo artist inspired me. I was no longer afraid.
“I wanted to start filling my whole body with colourful tattoos as they bring joy and reflect my positivity.”
