Painting your nails with all sorts of shades is great until it comes to getting the stuff off.
Your tissues often end up in tiny pieces as you try to scrub your nails clean ready for the next shade.
One woman has shown what she uses to tidy them up – a tampon.
Tiff Willis, aka Breakfast.at.Tiffs on TikTok, takes a clean tampon with an applicator out of the pack and pushes it up slightly before dipping it in nail polish remover.
She then rubs the soaked tampon over her nails to get them clean, with the applicator giving it a little more structure than the standard cotton ball.

The clip was shared by the Betches page and has now been liked by nearly 200,000 people.
The caption said: ‘This is innovation.’
While many agreed it was a genius idea, others criticised it for being expensive and wasteful.
One person wrote: ‘Tampons are expensive, I’m not wasting mine that way when cotton balls are like 1/10000 of the price.’
‘I just feel like it’s kinda a waste of tampons?’ another added.
Someone else said: ‘Our planet is dying…. But yes waste more plastic!! Not even a good hack lol plz.’
Others suggested that if you are set on using this hack, use the ones with cardboard applicators so you aren’t throwing away lots of extra plastic.
