Chelsea 'disappointed' with Thomas Tuchel after former manager's first act as Bayern Munich boss | The Sun

CHELSEA have been left disappointed with former manager Thomas Tuchel after his first act as Bayern Munich boss, according to reports.

The German has taken over the Bundesliga champions after Julian Nagelsmann was shockingly axed.

Tuchel supposedly upset his former employers during his first press conference at his new club.

The 49-year-old revealed to the press that he plans to bring Blues coach Anthony Barry with him to Munich.

Tuchel said: "My coaching staff wasn't prepared either, so a big thank you to their families for their flexibility.

"Arno Michels and Zsolt Low, who have been working with me for over 10 years, will be there. We're hoping to add Anthony Barry, who is currently at Chelsea.”

The Londoners knew they were in a battle to keep hold of the 36-year-old but are said to be angered that Tuchel made it public.

Bayern Munich have since made an approach to bring the highly rated coach to Bavaria, claim The Telegraph.

Reports suggest that Barry is keen to reunite with Tuchel.

The duo helped guide Chelsea to a Champions League win in 2021 before he was sacked last year.

Barry joined the club under Frank Lampard, staying after his departure to work with both Tuchel and Graham Potter.

The retired midfielder, who played for the likes of Fleetwood and Wrexham, has also worked with Roberto Martinez in his roles as manager of Belgium and now Portugal.

Tuchel will aim to guide Bayern Munich to an eleventh title in a row and lift the Champions League with them facing Manchester City in the quarter-final.
