Heston Blumenthal, 56, married his third wife, Melanie Ceysson, 36, in her native France on Saturday. The innovative chef and Michelin-starred owner of The Fat Duck restaurant tied the knot with the French entrepreneur in a beautiful village in Provence.

The location is close to Blumenthal’s heart, as he credits the area as his inspiration to become a chef.

Blumenthal previously exchanged vows with another French woman, Stephanie Gouveia, back in 2018.

Gouveia is the mother of the TV chef’s youngest child, but, according to the Daily Mail, the “impromptu” ceremony was not legally official.

Blumenthal also shares three children with his ex-wife, Zanna, whom he divorced in 2016.

Blumenthal’s more conventional wedding with his new bride, Melanie, was conducted in a short, formal ceremony in the village’s wedding hall.

Melanie wore a white dress for the occasion, designed by Emilia Wickstead, while Blumenthal looked dapper in a green suit by Issey Miyake.

The newlyweds then celebrated with their loved ones at their house after the ceremony, with 60 guests invited to join them at the reception.

Many of Blumenthal’s colleagues were in attendance, including Raymond Blanc, 73, former BBC director-general Lord Birt and Great British Menu judge Matthew Fort, 76.

Blanc shared his “special bond” with Blumenthal while discussing the wedding.

He told the publication: “Ever since Heston did an all-too-brief week in my kitchen, I’ve loved his fire and creativity.

“Over the years he’s helped me improve, and I hope I’ve also helped him. That’s our special bond, so, of course, I had to be here.”

Wedding guests were treated to famous dishes thought up by Blumenthal and served at his restaurants, including jelly of oyster and passion fruit, meat fruit, triple-cooked chips and Scotch eggs.

The chef also decorated the tables with edible candles, showing off his signature showmanship in the kitchen.

He announced he had popped the question in January after meeting Melanie while she was working at a hotel in French ski resort Val-d’Isere.
