Colorado will appear in Fox’s “Big Noon Saturday” slot Sept. 30 against USC, the school announced Monday. This will be the fifth straight Buffs game to air on national television and the third “Big Noon Saturday” designation this season. No. 19 CU (3-0) will host No. 5 USC (3-0) at 10 a.m. at Folsom Field.
Both “Big Noon Kickoff” and “College GameDay” were in town for CU’s double-overtime win in Saturday’s Rocky Mountain Showdown, bringing in celebrities like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Lil’ Wayne, Offset, and Rob Gronkowski.
Fox has not officially announced that “Big Noon Kickoff” will be traveling to Boulder for the game, but the pregame show typically broadcasts from the location of the network’s early game. The one exception? Choosing Boulder for the Rocky Mountain Showdown — which aired at 8 p.m. on ESPN — over a visit to Champaign, Ill., for Illinois vs. Penn State.
Under first-year head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes have already tripled their win total from last season and gained national attention in the college football world. But the schedule gets harder from here. Five of the Buffs’ nine remaining games are against opponents currently ranked in AP’s Top 25: at No. 10 Oregon this Saturday, the USC game, at No. 22 UCLA (Oct. 28), vs. No. 14 Oregon State (Nov. 4), at No. 21 Washington State (Nov. 17) and at No. 11 Utah (Nov. 25).
