DAN JAMES is 'frustrated' at Manchester United after making just six Premier League appearances this season but must take his chance, according to Ryan Giggs.
The Old Trafford legend revealed James – a key part of his Wales squad – is growing weary on the fringes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.
James, 23, made 46 appearances for the Red Devils last season but has been restricted to just ten across all competitions this campaign.
And national boss Giggs, 47, warned the wideman he must be ready to grab any opportunity with both hands.
Giggs told Stadium Astro: "We are in unknown territory. Where you don't have a lot of time. A lot of games squeezed into a short space of time.
"So, I think Ole would take the safe option and keep as many quality players in the club as he can.
"Yes, it would be frustrating. I know that Dan is frustrated. Just like any other player who isn't getting regular football.
"But when you are at a big club like United when you get the chance take it."
The emergence of 19-year-old sensation Mason Greenwood has blocked Welsh winger James' path to more first-team opportunities.
James joined United from Swansea for £15million in 2019 and was linked with a January move away to get more minutes under his belt.

SunSport revealed Brighton were interested in loaning the speedster while Leeds, Burnley and West Brom were also eager to do a deal.
But Solskjaer appears keen to hold onto the player with a busy schedule ahead in the second-half of the season.
Last month, the Norwegian said: "He’s proven time and time again how he can improve our performances at times with his exceptional pace.
"Dan’s got a big role to play for us."
