A GENIUS talent-spotter who can spot a winning horse a mile off has dropped £200,000 on a potential superstar.
Robson Aguiar is making a name for himself as the go-to man for rich owners hungry for success.
Football superagent Kia Joorabchian has already made use of Aguiar's services and the two have teamed up with the massively exciting Bucanero Fuerte.
A Group 1 winner at two he's a best-price 12-1 for next year's 2000 Guineas, one of the ultimate stallion-making races.
And with his latest purchase, Aguiar, who is from Brazil and went to the racing school in Sao Paulo with Silvestre de Sousa, reckons he's found another.
He spent £200,000 on a half-brother to Group 2 winner Trillium on the opening day of the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale at Doncaster.
A son of super stallion Wootton Bassett, Aguiar had to go all out to land the as yet unnamed horse but he reckons the massive spend is worth it.
He told the Racing Post: "He really reminded me of Bucanero Fuerte when I bought him as a yearling.
"He’s got a good loose walk, he’s very athletic and has a good pedigree.

Aguiar made a name for himself buying awesome horses for 'chicken feed' prices.
When he operated on a smaller budget, Aguiar bought cheap horses then sold them for six-figure breeze-ups.
The objective is different now he is in part bankrolled by Joorabchian's operation.
But he spent his own cash on this latest purchase and said: "I bought him for myself at the moment but we’ll see, maybe later on I could have a partner in the horse.
"I’ll get him home, break him in and see how he’s going before deciding what I do with him."
Chances are that includes winning some big races and making a healthy return on that investment.
