Liverpool team

Liverpool have announced their team to take on Forest:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Jota, Salah, Nunez

Behind-the-scenes at Luton

Adapting to life in the Premier League has been tough for Luton, with the Hatters currently in the relegation places having picked up just one win this season.

However, a win against Villa will drag them out of the drop zone, and Mail Sport recently spent a day at the club and found their was still plenty of optimism among the underdogs.

Aston Villa look to extend home record

Aston Villa are currently on a club record run of 11 successive home league wins against Luton.

Unai Emery’s side also enjoyed a successful night in Europe in midweek, beating AZ Alkmaar 4-1 in the Conference League.

Earlier this week, Mail Sport revealed the secrets of Emery’s impressive first year in charge at Villa Park.

Hope for Forest

Forest beat Liverpool at the City Ground last season in what turned out to be a vital boost in their successful attempt to avoid relegation.

They are currently five points clear of the drop zone ahead of today’s games despite only picking up two league wins this term.

Former Manchester United winger Anthony Elanga would surely love nothing more than to net the winner today, and Mail Sport published an exclusive interview with him this morning.

Good omen for Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp’s side have made a spectacular start to the season, tasting defeat just once in all competitions.

They continued their good form with a rampant 5-1 win against Tolouse in the Europa League on Thursday, and will be looking for a similar outcome this afternoon against a Nottingham Forest team that have not registered a victory since the start of September.

Forest have not won a game at Anfield since February 1969.
