    On the move

Andre Onana will sign for Manchester United today after a deal worth up to £47.2MILLION was finally sorted with Inter Milan.

The keeper flew in last night and will put pen to paper on a five-year deal, with the option of a sixth, following a medical.

Boss Erik ten Hag is hoping he might even be able to join his squad by the time they jet out to start their American tour after tonight’s friendly with Lyon in Edinburgh.

First, however, a visa must be arranged for the 27-year-old, who will cost the Red Devils £43.8m up front with the rest of the fee based on add-ons.

Ten Hag made him a priority after former No 1 David de Gea left on a free transfer at the end of last month following a 12-year stay and 545 appearances.

Cameroonian Onana had already agreed wages of around £200,000 a week before he said goodbye to Inter team-mates yesterday and headed for the airport.

Bayern peace talks in bid to rescue Kane move

Bayern Munich have staged peace talks with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to ensure their bid to land Harry Kane has not been wrecked.

Red-faced Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen has telephoned Levy to smooth over any issues after a club legend spoke out about the Kane situation.

The Bundesliga giants are increasingly confident of landing the England captain, believing he is keen to join.

Bayern have failed in two attempts to land the England captain and they were left embarrassed and surprised when honorary president Uli Hoeness claimed he was confident Kane would join.

Bayern chief Dreesen met Levy in London on Thursday and wanted to ensure that both clubs remained on good terms and feared Levy would have been fuming over the Hoeness comments.

At the weekend, Hoeness said: “Harry Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands – and if he keeps to his word, then we'll get him, because then Tottenham will have to buckle.

“Kane wants to play internationally and luckily for us Tottenham will not be active internationally next year."

There is still no agreement with Spurs and Bayern with Levy still hoping the striker stays.

'Utd keener on Randal than Rasmus'

Manchester United would now prefer Randal Kolo Muani to Rasmus Hojlund, reports tonight claim.

Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag wants a new world-class striker to partner Marcus Rashford.

And ESPN believe United will lose enthusiasm for Hojlund if Atalanta demand £60million.

Red Devils' chiefs reckon the six-cap Dane, 20, would be a risk at that sum.

Instead they could launch an opening offer of around £43m.

And in any case, Ten Hag is regarded as a bigger admirer of Eintracht Frankfurt's Kolo Muani.

The France ace, 24, notched 23 goals last term, 13 more than Hojlund.

Yet Eintracht insist they want 100m euros (£86m) – having recruited him from Nantes last summer on a five-year deal.

Toon frustrated as Allan nears £40m Saudi switch

Eddie Howe insists his hands were tied after confirming maverick winger Allan Saint-Maximin is close to sealing a £40million move to Saudi Arabia.

Al Ahli – controlled by the Saudi Public Investment Fund that owns Toon – made their move with Magpies boss Howe admitting they HAVE to sell.

He said: "We have to trade otherwise we would be stuck in a position where we couldn't recruit.

"Financial Fair Play forces that to a degree.

"We definitely don't want to lose him but sometimes these things happen.

"We could make a stance to not sell Maxi but then we'd be in a position where we wouldn't be able to recruit Sandro Tonali or any other player, so our hands would have been tied.

"We knew this summer we would have to sell a player to trade."

Mauricio Pochettino has poured cold water on the possibility for Romelu Lukaku to reignite his Chelsea career.

Blues boss Poch left out several key names from his 29-man United States touring group this pre-season as he continues his epic squad streamlining in West London.

However, it now seems Lukaku is destined to play his football away from Chelsea this upcoming season, with both Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus linked.

    Folarin urged to quit Gunners

Ex-Gunners midfielder Emmanuel Petit reckons Folarin Balogun needs a new club – urgently.

The USA striker, 22, has been linked with Inter Milan and Prem clubs following his sensational loan season with Reims.

And ex-Chelsea midfielder Petit told DAZN Bet: “He’s done very well here in France and I know he could be an option.

“But I have been saying for months that the best thing for all parties would be a clean break.

“Arsenal have just signed a new long-term contract with Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus fits so well into how Mikel Arteta wants to play, so they need to buy one more striker or someone who can offer versatility in a wide role as well.

“The more options they have in attack, the better.”

Miami close on FOURTH Barca legend

Jordi Alba is set to become the latest former Barcelona star to join Lionel Messi at Inter Miami.

The full-back left the Catalan giants earlier this year after 11 glittering seasons since joining from Valencia in 2012.

Messi, 36, agreed to join Inter Miami last month – with ex-Barca pal Sergio Busquets following suit.

Reports earlier on Tuesday then claimed that Luis Suarez was to become the latest member of the gang to join David Beckham's MLS franchise.

And now, according to owner Jorge Mas, Alba will be next.

He said: "Jordi Alba will sign today. Messi will debut on Friday."

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims the "final details" of Alba's contract are being finalised.

Alba made 459 appearances for Barca, scoring 27 goals and laying on 99 assists. He helped them to six LaLiga titles, five Copa del Reys and a Champions League triumph.

Amid Barca's financial woes Alba left at the end of last season, despite still having a year remaining on his contract.

    Greenwood OUT of pre-season squad

Mason Greenwood has been left off Manchester United’s squad for their pre-season tour to the United States, according to reports.

The striker, 21, has not played since January last year when he was arrested after allegations of physical and sexual abuse.

Greenwood is still suspended by United, despite charges including attempted rape being dropped against him.

However, he was recently pictured at a private training with Utd teammate Anthony Elanga.

But now the club’s pre-season has apparently kicked off without him  – sparking fears his career is “in tatters”.

According to The Athletic, he is not in their squad for the club’s pre-season tour.

It comes as Greenwood is reportedly being used as a pawn by Manchester United to net a striker rumoured to be worth £50m.

Serie A club Atalanta are interested in signing the forward on loan, according to Manchester Evening News.

Sark attack! Matija fuming with Stoke

Wolves goalkeeper Matija Sarkic is furious with Stoke City after the Potters pulled the plug on his £1.25million move at the 11th hour.

The Montenegro international agreed to join Alex Neil's side after making eight appearances on loan at the bet365 Stadium last season.

However the 25-year-old was stunned when Stoke moved the goalposts and altered the personal terms they were willing to offer him.

Sarkic had already passed his Stoke medical and Wolves had signed Tom King as third choice goalkeeper when the deal bit the dust.

That leaves the gutted goalkeeper searching for a new club and his mood did not improve when Stoke swiftly moved in for Bournemouth back-up 'keeper Mark Travers.

That has left a sour taste in Sarkic's mouth.

He suspects Stoke discovered they could hijack Millwall's move for Republic of Ireland international Travers and cynically lowered their original offer to sicken Sarkic into rejecting the new deal.
