WWE star Charlotte, daughter of the legendary Ric Flair, reveals two tattoos that are in honour of her late brother | The Sun

CHARLOTTE FLAIR has revealed that two of her tattoos are in honour of her late brother.

The Queen, real name Ashley Fliehr, and her siblings David and Reid were born into wrestling as children of legendary 16-time world champion Ric Flair.

But the family were devastated in March 2013 when Reid was found dead in a hotel room in North Carolina.

An autopsy discovered the 25-year-old died of an accidental drug overdose.

His death helped inspire Charlotte to become a WWE star and she has undoubtedly done his legacy proud by becoming arguably the best female performer on the roster and one of the leaders of the women’s revolution.

Reid also briefly followed in his Nature Boy father's wrestling footsteps and actually teamed up with his dad to defeat Eric Bischoff in an impromptu WCW match.

He later wrestled for the NWA and All Japan Pro Wrestling promotions before his passing.

Reid had a tattoo on his back, and during an appearance on WWE show “Superstar Ink”, Charlotte revealed that she, her siblings and her late brother’s girlfriend decided to get some inkwork of their own to resemble his after his death.

Showing off the tattoo on her right ribcage, Charlotte said: “It's a cross and it has 'Reider' in it.

“My little brother always wanted a tattoo and my dad was so against it.

“Finally, when Reid was a freshman in college, he came home with this tattoo on his back and it said 'Fliehr.'”

“Reid's probably laughing in heaven like, 'Hey, you guys made fun of this tattoo? Well, guess what, now you all have it.”

She then revealed another tattoo in Reid’s memory on her right forearm.

It says “a little patience” – which is a reference to a song named “Patience” by his favourite band Guns N’ Roses.

Charlotte added: “His favourite band was Guns N' Roses and one of the songs we used to sing together was 'patience.'

“Just as time goes on, and especially with my career, I'm living his dream. When I was in developmental waiting and waiting, 'Am I good enough? Am I not? Is it gonna happen?'

“So I just always looked down, I'm like 'a little patience' and it's a reminder of him.”
