This week two brothers were found guilty of killing a paralysed man who died 13 years after being attacked.

Siblings Kyle and Bernie Smith, 33 and 30, were convicted of manslaughter at Stafford Crown Court.

The victim was Craig Robins, who was paralysed from the chest down after a car crash in 1997.

He was stabbed in Hednesford in 2006 and never regained consciousness before his eventual death two years ago.

Prior to the brothers being charged, two other men had also admitted charges of murder and manslaughter after the group onslaught.

Here, the Daily Star takes a look at other British and Irish duos who killed together.

The incest murders

Sick parents who murdered two out of six of their children were jailed for life in 2019.

But not only were they parents, they were also siblings.

Sarah Barrass and her half brother Brandon Machin planned to kill their six kids instead of putting them in care.

Their eldest boys, Blake and Tristan, 14 and 13, were found dead on their bunk beds two years ago in Sheffield.

They had been strangled and suffocated.

Barrass and Machin, related through their mother, were jailed for life and must serve at least 35 years behind bars.

The Kray twins

Everyone has heard of the notorious gangsters known as the Kray twins.

Ruthless Ronnie and Reggie ran a violent gang called The Firm and the pair were involved in various crimes including extortion, torture and armed robbery.

But they were arrested for the murders of Jack McVitie and George Cornell before being sent to prison.

Their infamous lives was portrayed by Tom Hardy in the film Legend.

Ronnie suffered a fatal heart attack in 1995 while Reggie died of cancer five years later.

Siblings kill sibling

Last month, two brothers were convicted of crimes after their younger sibling died in a family dispute stabbing.

Thomas Rogers, 26, died after his brothers pounced while he was sitting in a car in August 2020.

David Rogers, 33, was found guilty of murder while Samuel Rogers, 31, was found guilty of manslaughter.

Birmingham Crown Court heard how David stabbed his younger brother while Samuel filmed the brutal murder.

Two other co-defendants were found not guilty of murder and were discharged.

The Scissor Sisters

Over in Ireland Linda and Charlotte Mulhall became notorious for being involved in one of the most gruesome murders ever recorded in the country.

The sisters butchered their mum’s boyfriend, Farah Swaleh Noor, in March 2005 after he allegedly abused her.

They attacked him with a knife and a hammer before slicing off his head and penis.

Cops got involved after Noor’s leg was found floating down a river in Dublin over a week later.

Charlotte was found guilty of murder while Linda was convicted of manslaughter before she was released in 2018.

The victim’s head was never found.
