Infamous serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer once explained exactly what human flesh tastes like.
Dahmer, also known as the Milwaukee Cannibal, killed and dismembered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
He was sentenced to fifteen terms of life imprisonment in February 1992 but died just over two years later aged 34 when he was beaten to death by a fellow inmate.

Before his death, Dahmer revealed to an FBI agent that he'd fantasised about eating human flesh from a young age.
The killer would take careful time when consuming his victims and preparing human meat. He ate so much that he began to work out which cuts tasted the best.
He said in the FBI interview that he would cook "thighs, biceps, and various internal organs" in a stovetop skillet before eating them.
Dahmer compared the best cuts of human meat to fillet mignon – the cut taken from the smaller end of the tenderloin of a cow.
Moreover, he was also generous with what he cooked. Horrifyingly, his neighbour Pamela Bass revealed that she'd eaten a sandwich given to her by Dahmer prior to his arrest.
"I have probably eaten someone's body part," she said.
The gruesome details of Dahmer's killings are coming to light again because of Netflix's new series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
The release is not for the faint-hearted, recounting the murders, cannibalism and necrophilia largely from the perspective of the victims.
It also covers the law enforcement blunders that "allowed the Wisconsin native to go on a multiyear killing spree", according to Deadline.

There were reportedly at least 10 instances where he was almost caught but wasn't.
Dahmer was eventually apprehended after he offered three men $100 to come to his apartment and pose for nude photos.
One, Tracy Edwards, did go to the apartment but managed to break free after being handcuffed. Dahmer had told him he was planning on eating his heart.
