Denver weather: Warm, dry and breezy, sunny with clear blue skies

The weather in metro Denver will be warm, dry, and breezy this week with the highest temperatures of the year starting Monday, and skies will remain relatively clear and blue, according to the National Weather Service.

The high temperature in Denver will be 92 degrees, increasing to 93 degrees on Tuesday, weather service forecasters said. These could be the first 90-degree days of the year. At night, low temperatures Monday and Tuesday will hover around 58 degrees.

Light breezes on Monday with the wind blowing at speeds around 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 16 mph, are expected to increase later in the week with gusts up to 39 mph. The weather pattern settling in this week after a relatively wet June is favorable for fires, meteorologists said.

Rivers and streams flowing down from Colorado’s mountains onto the high plains are running high and fast due to mountain snow melting and recent heavy rain.
