Washington: All American adults should be able to receive a COVID-19 vaccination by May and life in the US will be resembling something close to normal by the 4th of July holiday, President Joe Biden will announce in a speech to the nation.
Biden is preparing to deliver his first prime-time television address as President just hours after signing into law a massive $2.5 trillion COVID-19 relief package and on the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus outbreak officially being declared a pandemic.
Biden will direct US states to make the vaccine available to all American adults by May 1, a significant ramping up of his administration’s previous vaccine rollout timeline.
The ambitious pledge reflects an expected surge in supply in vaccine doses over coming months.

Previewing his remarks, Biden said he would “talk about what we’ve been through as a nation this past year, but more importantly, I’m going to talk about what comes next”.
