A 21-year-old man has tragically died after collapsing in the street on a night out during Magic Monday.
His death was deemed 'non-suspicious' after emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 7pm in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.
Witnesses described the area as very busy as open-air drinking was permitted for the first time in months under lockdown rule changes.
The surrounding area including part of the seaside town's High Street was closed for several hours, GrimsbyLive reports.
One person said it was "more like a busy Sunday night than a Monday."
The young man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
But Humberside Police have sadly confirmed on Tuesday morning that he has passed away.
Police are now looking into the cause of his death, which isn't thought to be suspicious.
The man's family have been informed of his death and are being supported by specially trained officers.
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: "We were called to Grant Street in Cleethorpes shortly before 7.15pm yesterday, (Monday, April 12 2021).
