Police have launched an investigation after a 25-year-old man died just one day after he was released from prison.
Kieran Kauss was pronounced dead on Friday, February 26, at a flat in Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby, where he is believed to have met with friends to celebrate his release.
Humberside Police and paramedics were called to the scene at around 9pm but they were unable to save Kieran, reports Grimsby Live.
A relative attended the flat, which is opposite Hamilton Street Police Station, to confirm Kieran had died.
Detectives have launched an investigation and questioned people who were at the first-floor flat when he died.
They also spoke to neighbours when they carried out door-to-door enquiries.
Kieran, formerly of David Street, in Grimsby, had served time in prison following a series of criminal convictions.
He had also been subject of a criminal behaviour order banning him from Grimsby town centre and a number of shops in the town.
Kieran had told Grimsby Magistrates' Court in February last year that he was determined to change his ways.
Pictures of him on social media all show pictures of him with a big smile, and he even smiled for his police photograph when he was arrested by Humberside Police.

One tribute to him posted on social media says: “RIP Kieran, going to miss your cheeky smile.”
Another simply put “RIP Kieran lad” while a friend posted: “Poor Kieran, man.”
Residents living near the flat have been left shocked by the latest tragedy, which came just three months after a woman was found dead at a ground-floor flat on Cleethorpe Road on Sunday, November 22.
