Superman reboot is underway at DC Films and Warner Bros with Ta-Nehisi Coates writing the script and JJ Abrams producing

Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the screenplay for a new Superman movie for DC Films and Warner Bros, it was shared on Friday.

The project is in very early development, but the new film is being produced by JJ Abrams’ Bad Robot, with Hannah Minghella also producing.

There is no director attached to the project at this time and the search for an actor to play Kal-El, better known as Superman, has not yet begun.
