Tributes have been paid to a 13-year-old girl who died after falling from a roof above a Tesco Express.

A passing nurse got out of a taxi and attempted CPR on Sarah Short after she fell from the supermarket on Aitken Street in Largs, Scotland, on Saturday night, June 19.

However, the child, from the village of Fairlie in Scotland, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her mum Gail posted a picture of the pair together, and other friends have since paid tribute to the "beautiful" girl, the Daily Record reports.

One relative wrote: "My beautiful Sarahkins."

A friend added: "Just beautiful Gail. Thinking of you all."

Devastated pals described Sarah as "caring, kind, funny and always up for anything".

One friend said on Instagram: "Never in a million years would I have to imagine writing this but sadly Sarah will be missed deeply by all of us.

"She was always the life of the party and never once failed to put a smile on my face.

"It breaks my heart knowing she’s not here anymore.

"Sarah was caring, kind, funny and always up for anything she touched all of us deeply in our hearts."

Another posted: "Sarah was always able to put a smile on everyone’s face she was one of the funniest people I’ve ever met."

Flowers and tributes to Sarah have also been left at the scene.

Sarah was a keen skater and scooter rider.

Her friends held a balloon release in her memory on Sunday, June 20.

The parent council at Largs Academy, where Sarah was a student, sent out a letter from the school offering bereavement support.
