POLICE were shocked to find a frying pan containing human brains on the stove in Peter Bryan's home.

Serial killer Peter Bryan committed three murders between his stints in secure hospital facilities, one of which he cannibalised.

London born Peter Bryan was the youngest of seven children born to immigrant parents from Barbados.

He left school as a teenager and began working at a clothes stall before moving on to teach cooking lessons at a soup kitchen.

He killed three people over a 10 year span, during which he had been in and out of psychiatric hospitals.

Bryan, who suffers from schizophrenia, has confessed on multiple occasions to wanting to eat people.

Who were Peter Bryan's victims?

His first victim was 20-year-old shop-owner's daughter Nisha Sheth, who Bryan beat to death in 1993.

This is thought to be a revenge killing as Bryan had been sacked for stealing clothes from the store.

He was sent to Rampton Secure Hospital in Nottinghamshire after admitting to her murder.

Bryan was considered to have made considerable progress during his time at Rampton so in June 2001 he was transferred into the care of a psychiatrist and social worker.

He then moved to Riverside Hostel in London and continued to make progress, the murderer was even allowed to come and go as he pleased.

The new sentence was a minimum of 15 years in Broadmoor, although it is unlikely he will ever be release.
