A woman glassed another pub-goer when a row over chicken in a basket erupted into violence.
Hollie Crutchley, 22, kicked off after being told to pay for some food she and another had snatched from a nearby table and eaten.
She reportedly said: "Do you want to go, do you want to go?", before throwing the contents of a drink at an off duty staff member who had told her to pay.
She then threw her whole gin glass at the woman which cut her as she raised her arms to protect herself, Stoke on Trent Live reports.
The injured victim was taken to hospital where she received six stitches.
Now Crutchley has been sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 12 months, at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court .
Prosecutor Rachel Pennington said the defendant was in the Wheatsheaf pub in Cheadle, at 9.30pm on August 14 last year when she and another snatched a basket of chicken belonging to other customers and enjoyed the contents.
The woman who confronted the pair worked at the pub but was off duty and socialising.
Miss Pennington said: "The defendant shouted, 'Do you want to go, do you want to go'?
"She picked up a drink and threw the glass and contents at her.

"Security went to intervene. The defendant picked up her drink in a gin glass and struck it out towards the woman. The complainant raised her arm to protect her face.
"The victim said the glass was thrown at her. She kept her arms raised. The glass smashed against her left arm."
Crutchley pleaded guilty to wounding.
Saleema Mahmood, mitigating, said the defendant is of previous good character.
She said: "The glass was thrown. It was done recklessly. The injury was minimal.
"She is extremely remorseful."

Crutchley has been ordered to complete a rehabilitation activity requirement for 20 days and 120 hours unpaid work as part of her suspended sentence.
And she must pay her victim £500 compensation.
Judge David Fletcher said: "Your response to being challenged was to throw liquid at her. You picked up a second glass. It was reckless, foolish and extremely dangerous.
"It is a nasty injury.
"You expressed your remorse. You are of good character.
"You are in work. I hope the consequences of this will not affect your ability to continue with your chosen career."
