Michael's grieving family have now released a statement, revealing the football supporter was "so happy" to be working on his favourite club's new stadium.

After confirming Michael's identity, Merseyside Police announced it was working jointly with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) with enquiries into the incident ongoing.
A post-mortem is set to take place tomorrow to establish an official cause of death.
