The USA Gymnastics women’s Olympic team is ready to blow the competition away at the Tokyo Games this summer.
The powerhouse team of ten has been training for years to get this far, and they’re not stopping now. You already know Simone Biles for her record-setting moves. Now, meet the other nine gymnasts who will be making their own mark in Japan this year.
There may be ten athletes total on the team, but they won’t all be going for the gold in the same events. Four of the women (Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee, and Grace McCallum) will compete in the team event, while Jade Carey and MyKayla Skinner will compete in the individual apparatus events. The rest of the gymnasts are replacement athletes who will step onto the mat if needed.

Simone Biles
You already know 24-year-old Simone Biles from Spring, Texas, as the G.O.A.T. She’s coming into the Tokyo Games with 30 Olympic and World Championship medals (yep, you read that right!), and she’s not slowing down anytime soon. The queen of the bars, vault, floor, and the beam, Simone is going big at the Games this summer.

Watch out for her newest move, the Yurchenko double pike vault (shown below), which has only been performed by men at the Olympics—until now. Not to mention her signature move, the Biles. You can follow Simone’s Tokyo journey on her Instagram and her Twitter.
