Amanda Holden has stitches on her forehead

Amanda Holden spotted with stitches on her forehead after painful injury – as she leaves Heart FM

Amanda Holden was spotted with stitches on her forehead, on Monday morning as she left Heart FM in London’s Leicester Square with pet pooch Rudie by her side.

The BGT judge, 52, sported the mystery patched-up facial injury while her eyes were shielded with black sunglasses. It’s unclear what led to Amanda requiring stitches.

The star was dressed in a grey knit co-ord set and knee-high boots as she strutted out of the radio station to an awaiting chauffeur driven car.

Amanda flashed a glimpse of her toned pins as she strolled along in the stone coloured mini skirt and matching jumper.

Finishing her chic look, the mum-of-two wore a sleek pair of tan coloured knee-high boots and carried her belongings in a large brown Michael Kors tote.

MailOnline has contacted Amanda Holden’s representatives for comment.

Back in May, it was reported that Amanda is set to take over for the late Paul O’Grady on his beloved show, For The Love Of Dogs.

The comedian, who died in March at the age of 67, was known as an avid dog-lover and fronted the documentary series since 2012.

But after his untimely death, it is now Amanda, who is the favourite to take over.

The TV presenter was not only a friend of the late entertainer but is also an ambassador for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, where the show is based.

According to The Sun, Amanda’s ‘takeover’ is considered a sensitive issue, considering how closely the Lily Savage star was associated with the series.

Consequently, ITV remain reluctant to to broach the subject just yet.

An insider told the publication: ‘Execs just feel like it’s too soon to make firm plans about the series, as it’s barely been two months since he died.

Happy: Despite sporting a fresh injury, Amanda appeared to be in good spirits

Not there? Just an hour before she was seen with the stitches, Amanda appeared to be injury free in a photograph uploaded to her Instagram of herself with Rudie in the Heart FM studio

‘But the feeling at the home is that it’s what Paul would have wanted. After all, he cared deeply about the animals in Battersea.

‘Amanda is the natural choice to take over the job, not just because she’s an experienced presenter but because she also cares about the home and would do anything for them.’

During Paul’s career, he hosted The Paul O’Grady Show, Blind Date and Blankety Blank, as well as ITV’s multi-award-winning For The Love Of Dogs. He also hosted ITV celebrity game show, Paul O’Grady’s Saturday Night Line Up.
