Bam Margera has left detox early from Lamar Odom’s drug treatment center to ‘spend the weekend in Las Vegas’
Bam Margera is having a rough go of it lately.
The former pro skateboarder, 43, was put on an involuntary 5150 psychiatric hold earlier this month, vowed to get sober and checked into a San Diego detox center.
Margera – who met up with his girlfriend Jessica Dietzler for lunch at Nobu Malibu on Thursday – was admitted to one of Lamar Odom’s detox facilities to get clean, but the filmmaker didn’t last long and checked himself out of the center on Monday.
Reportedly, the former NBA player tried to convince the Jacka** alum to complete the treatment.
Instead, the reality TV personality stayed with the 43-year-old former Los Angeles Lakers forward’s home in Calabasas, according to TMZ, until he split on Thursday to allegedly head to Las Vegas for the weekend.

This latest turn in Margera’s ongoing struggle with addiction comes after he threatened to ‘smoke crack…until I’m dead’ unless he was allowed to see his son Phoenix, five.
Margera made the concerning threats on Instagram and shortly after went missing, prompting his brother, Jess Margera, to ask the public for assistance in locating his sibling.
‘If anyone in the LA area knows of Bam’s current whereabouts or a hotel he might be at, contact the LAPD immediately,’ he had tweeted out at the time.
Margera is involved in an ongoing custody battle with his estranged with Nicole Boyd.
He has allegedly been sending his ex abusive texts since he was released from the 5150 hold.
‘Bam has started texting since his release from the 5150 hold, but the content quickly turned abusive, calling Nikki awful names, saying she is the cause of all his problems, even saying she’s a “gold digger,”‘ Boyd’s attorney David Glass revealed to TMZ.
According to Margera’s attorney Peter Thompson, the dad of one was angry because after he was released from the psychiatric hold he found out Boyd had filed legal documents asking for $15,000 a month in child support as well as $50,000 in attorney’s fees.
Nicole and Margera have been married since 2013.

Margera split up with Boyd in 2021 and she went to court in September of that year to request full custody of their son.
She filed for divorce this February citing irreconcilable differences, and requested the court award her legal and physical custody of their child.
In the documents, Boyd said Margera can see their child as long as it is supervised and he completes rehab for drug and alcohol issues.
But Margera has tried to get the judge overseeing the divorce case to throw it out simultaneously trying to move up the next hearing, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
