Lessons from Legends features actress Julia Roberts, 53, England manager Gareth Southgate, 51, tennis ace Roger Federer, 40, and astronaut Tim Peake, 49, among others. They share the life lessons they have learnt on their journeys to success.

The short film comes as part of Grylls’ new education platform, BecomingX, which aims to help everyone become who they want to be through motivational films.

He wants to help schools teach resilience, team working, problem solving and self-confidence.

He said: “Success is so rarely the result of talent or academic performance – it’s really about equipping yourself with the right attitudes and skills, learning how to bring people on side, and about never giving up.

“This past year has been incredibly challenging for students and teachers alike, so myself and the BecomingX team wanted to show our support for them as they embark on a new academic year.” Also in the film are actors Channing Tatum and Courteney Cox.
