Bethenny Frankel and her ex-husband, Jason Hoppy, are heading back to court.

The 51-year-old reality star finalized her divorce with her ex in January, nearly eight long years after they initially split.

Frankel, who starred on The Real Housewives of New York City for a handful of years, and Hoppy will ‘appear before a New York family court judge on Dec. 8 for a hearing involving custody of their daughter, Bryn,’ according to Page Six.

The former couple have waged public wars against each other since their split in December 2012 after just two years of marriage. 

Bethenny and Jason each received joint custody of their daughter in 2014, but Frankel pursued sole custody three years ago.

It’s unclear if this court date is to confirm a new agreement.

Hoppy’s lawyer said at the time: ‘The parties’ child will have the benefit of being raised by both parents; and most importantly, his daughter will no longer be at the mercy of a high-profile courtroom battle.’

In the past: Their whirlwind romance was documented for Bravo cameras with a televised wedding in 2010 followed by Bryn’s birth in May of the same year; seen in 2012

But all was not as it seemed and the couple called it quits on their relationship in December 2012 and she filed for divorce one month later.

PEOPLE reported in January 2017 that ‘Hoppy was charged with one count of harassment in the second degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of stalking in the fourth degree.’  

Two months later, Hoppy rejected a plea offer and was arraigned on additional charges in June 2017 which included ‘one count of stalking in the third degree and another count of stalking in the fourth degree.’  

Old days: They starred on Bethenny’s Getting Married and then Bethenny Ever After before she filed for divorce in January 2013

Details of their divorce and custody agreement, which was finalized in January 2021, were not made public. 

Bethenny has since moved on and recently became engaged to boyfriend Paul Bernon, 44. 

‘It was intimate,’ she told PEOPLE of the proposal before adding that he dropped down to one knee in Florida in February 2021.

‘Just the two of us, on an island off of Florida. No makeup, no manicure, no ring photos. It was very simple and beautiful.’

She added, ‘He’s a good person who I love. … I don’t know if it’s a yin to my yang, but he’s really relaxed, he’s mellow and he’s very, very funny.’
