‘Give yourself a round of applause!’ Beyonce is left visibly stunned by UK fans’ ‘perfect vocals and harmonies’ while helping her sing Love On Top during Renaissance tour date in Wales

Beyonce kicked off the UK leg of her Renaissance World Tour in Wales on Thursday – and was left stunned by her fans on the big night. 

The songstress, 41, enlisted the help of her audience to belt out her 2011 track Love On Top, leading to a pitch perfect rendition of the track after which the music icon said to 75k-strong crowd: ‘Give yourself a round of applause’. 

One concertgoer took Twitter to shed light on the magic moment, revealing that the rendition was ‘perfect’ and added: ‘Welcome to Wales b’. 

The fan penned: ‘fave part of Beyonce live @ Cardiff was seeing how shook she was when she asked the audience to help her do love on top acapella and everyone served the most perfect vocals, key changes and harmonies in perfect tune’. 

Speaking to PA about the concert, Nicola Stacey Jones, 54, from Risca in Wales, said Beyoncé’s voice was ‘like velvet’. She said: ‘The atmosphere is electrifying, the music is vibrating around the stadium so your heart bounces…

‘Beyonce is pitch perfect with moves to match. It’s one of those tick box… mind-blowing, memorable moments – I was there sort of thing.’

Elsewhere Sian Blackham, 44, told the agency: ‘I’m a huge Beyoncé fan and have loved her since her career took off with Destiny’s Child.

‘I’m with my best friend, goddaughter and her auntie. This is our fourth time seeing Beyoncé together, the first since the pandemic…

‘We feel so lucky to be at her first show in the UK and I’m super grateful to my best friend and goddaughter who secured the tickets – no easy feat’.

During the night, Beyoncé brought superstardom to Wales when she took to the stage in Cardiff for the first date on her Renaissance world tour.

The hitmaker ensured she kicked off her UK dates with an almighty bang as she stormed the city’s Principality Stadium with a slew of megahits and a host of incredible ensembles for the heaving audience of 74,000 fans. 

Her full setlist boasted a host of her smash hits, including Formation and Run The World (Girls), played alongside Love On Top, with the show opening with an atmosphere shattering mash-up of Dangerously In Love, Flaws And All and 1+1.

Her looks comprised a host of incredible numbers, including glittering catsuits and epic metallic corsets and barely-there mini dresses by a slew of designers including Alexander McQueen, Loewe and David Koma.

Proving a stage spectacular takes hard work, it has been reported that Beyonce travels with a body double who steps in during rehearsals to show the star what her dances look like from an audience perspective.
