Theo James sent the internet into meltdown with his revealing nude scene in the season premiere of The White Lotus last year.
After months of speculation, the 37-year-old English actor put the rumours to rest in a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, when he admitted to wearing a prosthetic over his manhood.
When asked if he went au naturel for filming, Theo confessed that he’d received some help from the costume department, joking that he was shocked at the ‘ginormous’ item.
He explained: ‘The truth of it was, you go into these things and you have a conversation with the director and the producers, and they go, “OK, for this, we’re going to use a prosthetic, we’re gonna use something.” It’s a pee-pee prosthetic!’

While taking on the role of Tommy Lee in the Pamela Anderson biopic, Sebastian donned a prosthetic member made from silicone and cast using a mold of his own penis so it could be sculpted and blended to fit.
Special makeup effects designer Jason detailed the process for GQ magazine, explaining: ‘We apply the piece by having the actor saddle himself into the appliance like a sleeve. We then glue it into place and paint it with sheer washes of colour including vein work.
‘All modesty is out the door in these scenarios and we become quick personal friends when you’re in those positions!’

John Cena – Trainwreck
While Amy Schumer’s character has a number of dalliances in the opening scenes of Trainwreck, it’s John Cena’s scene that stole the show.
Speaking about his nearly naked scene on Jimmy Kimmel Live, the WWE star said: ‘[I have a] ‘big part’ because of the costume department. I was gifted a stunt penis.
‘I had to do a sex scene, which involved me being almost all the way naked. I had to stuff myself in a small nylon sock, and they gave me a stunt penis to insinuate an erection.’

Evan Handler – And Just Like That…
While Sex And The City was famed for its racy sex scenes, the reboot And Just Like That… took things one step further when it featured an oral sex scene between Evan Handler and Kristin Davis.
Speaking about the decision to feature a prosthetic, showrunner Michael Patrick King revealed: ‘It wasn’t enough for us to have it happen [like] in other TV shows where you never see the d**k.
‘Harry would have – I decided and people agreed with me – he would have a substantial penis.’

‘It was a bit of a trial and I got intimate with a very talented man called Tony who saw a lot more of me than what I care to show anyone else.’

Speaking about the scene, Jonah revealed: ‘There were a lot of background artists on set that day who hadn’t read the script, so they just know that they’re in a scene and a guy is pulling out his genitalia and masturbating in front of them at a big party.
‘So for them, it was really funny, but for the main characters, it’s really inappropriate and disturbing. So, I had to tell everyone that while their first instinct was to laugh, I had to take it very seriously so that we got the appropriate response.’
