Cher and Alexander were reported to have split up in May but it appears the couple have rekindled their romance as they were spotted on a dinner date earlier this month.

The outing comes after Cher had her own son kidnapped from a hotel room just as he was trying to reconcile with his wife on their wedding anniversary, court papers exclusively unearthed by DailyMail.com allege.

The Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winner was worried about Elijah Blue Allman’s health, her daughter-in-law, Marieangela King said in a declaration to a Los Angeles court hearing the couple’s divorce.

And she has reason to be concerned judging by pictures we have obtained showing him disheveled at a different hotel, LA’s famed Chateau Marmont Hotel where he has been living for at least the past six months.

He is now understood to be in rehab in Pasadena, California, after collapsing on the pavement leading up to the hotel’s entrance.

‘At first he looked like he was dead, but he had in fact passed out,’ said a witness to his collapse.

‘The staff picked him up and took him inside.’

Elijah, 47, is the younger of Cher’s two children. He is the son of her second husband, the late rock great Gregg Allman.

He married Marieangela, 36, who goes by the name Queenie in the rock band KING, in 2013. They have no children.

He has admitted in the past that he started taking drugs when he was 11 and has had a long battle with heroin addiction.

King, who was born in Mumbai, India, to a British father and German mother and whose childhood was spent in 30 different countries, is one of six siblings who have played at various times in KING.

In her declaration to the court, King said she and Elijah had spent 12 days in New York trying to work on their marriage.

‘Given the proper time I believe that we will reconcile,’ she said.

But their attempts to kiss and make up were interrupted, she wrote.

‘On November 30, 2022, the night of our wedding anniversary, four people came to our hotel room and removed (Elijah) from our room.

‘I was told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by (Elijah’s) mother.

Troubling: Photos obtained by DailyMail.com show Cher’s disheveled son Elijah Blue Allman outside Hollywood’s famed Chateau Marmont – where he had been living – just before he was removed by police on September 16

Concerned: Worried-looking Cher and her bodyguard visited the Chateau Marmont in March, soon after Elijah had started living there

Hotel: After the New York hotel incident last November, Elijah spent six months living at the Chateau Marmont, the landmark Sunset Boulevard hotel where Animal House star John Belushi died from a drug overdose in 1982

Fears: Insiders told DailyMail.com that worried hotel staff had regularly reached out to Cher due to his apparent drugged-out appearance. A police vehicle was seen parked outside the hotel after they were called to remove him on September 16

In the declaration, filed four days after the alleged kidnapping, she added: ‘I am currently unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts,’ although she added that he was in ‘lockdown at a treatment facility that is undisclosed to me’.

Cher, 77, has long had a contentious relationship both with Elijah and her daughter-in-law Marieangela (pictured together in 2018)

She finished the statement with the words ‘I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is well, and I want what is best for my husband.’

Cher’s representative did not respond to an email requesting comment.

Elijah is now back in rehab after a tumultuous six months at the Chateau Marmont, the landmark Sunset Boulevard hotel where Animal House star John Belushi died from a drug overdose in 1982.

Worried hotel staff have regularly reached out to Cher due to his apparent drugged-out appearance, insiders tell DailyMail.com.

‘Virtually every morning and afternoon Elijah could be seen in front of the hotel on the sidewalk either leaning against the wall or sitting on the sidewalk smoking,’ said one.

‘He would come out with a full cigarette and by the time he had finished it, he would be passed out.

‘It always looked like it was dipped in something. He looked strung-out and messy, like he was a homeless person living on the streets.’

In early September Cher hired a caretaker to keep an eye on her troubled son, who had taken to leaving the hotel and wandering down the street.

‘The caretaker would sit out in the entrance area of the hotel just waiting to see where and what Elijah was up to.’

Family: Elijah is the son of Cher’s second husband, the late rock great Gregg Allman, who died in 2017

Declaration: In her declaration to the court, King revealed she and Allman spent 12 days in New York City together working on their marriage when four men suddenly came to their hotel room to remove him

But things came to a head on September 14, the day that Cher had planned an intervention with her son, DailyMail.com has learned.

Before that could happen, hotel staff found his lifeless body, lying face down on the pavement leading to the hotel entrance with his arms by his side. The hotel staff picked him up and took him inside.

Two days later police arrived and escorted Elijah out of the hotel, the source said. He was then taken for yet another stint in rehab.

Cher has long had a contentious relationship both with Elijah and her daughter-in-law Marieangela, who he met in Germany after he going there for treatment for a particularly bad case of Lyme Disease.

The movie and music icon allegedly did not congratulate the newlyweds after they eloped and refused even to acknowledge their engagement.

She has often gone months and even years without even speaking to her son, who she packed off to boarding school when he was just eight.

But, looking full of concern, she and her bodyguard were spotted going to visit him at the Chateau in March, soon after he had moved in.

In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight Elijah said: ‘I started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around 11.

‘I mean it’s just what you did, it’s just what everybody did.’

He said he had started with marijuana and ecstasy and later graduated to harder drugs.

‘I was just looking to escape all the things in my past and, that’s when you turn to those kind of drugs, you know heroin and opiates,’ he said.

‘Heroin kind of saved me. If I didn’t have that at that point, I don’t know what I would have done. You may jump off a bridge. If you can only just go through that time period and live through it and then get help.’

He admitted there were times he almost died.

‘I did have some close calls and some moments of really feeling at the edge of mortality,’ he said.

‘I always kind of kept it a little bit safe but you never can do that. Even though you think that in your mind, of course the wrong things can happen.

‘The wrong combination of things can happen and you can just slip into the abyss.

‘I knew it was wrong and I knew that I was very unsatisfied with life at that point.’

Elijah, who was lead singer in the metal band Deadsy in the 2000s, was the one who filed for divorce.

He said they had split in April 2020, right at the beginning of the Covid lockdown.

However Marieangela said they didn’t separate until late 2021.

In her declaration to the court, Marieangela said she could not pay her lawyers because Elijah’s spousal support payments were sporadic.

‘I have only received $25,000 total, half of the support owed,’ she said.

She also said that Cher had kicked her out of the house where she was living after Elijah started unspecified ‘medical care’ in August 2022.

‘I had lost both my housing and healthcare and had to leave the country to stay with relatives for a while,’ she said.

‘In my husband’s absence, I was asked to leave our family home by (Elijah’s) mother.

‘I was not allowed to retrieve all my belongings from our primary home and residence, nor was I given the opportunity to inventory our assets.’

She also said she had not been able to get her property from a storage unit which contained ‘one-of-a-kind art pieces, antiques and musical instruments’ that needed to be valued before the divorce’.
