After a woman sues the ‘Iffy’ singer for $20 million for allegedly drugging and raping her during a yacht party in December 2020, many social media users rush to his defense.
AceShowbiz –Chris Brown is facing a serious legal problem yet again. More than a decade after he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna, the star is now accused of drugging and raping a woman during a yacht party in Miami.
The woman, who goes by Jane Doe, has filed a $20 million lawsuit against the star, claiming that Chris went from being friendly to raping her in a matter of minutes. In the suit obtained by TMZ, the accuser says the alleged incident went down on December 30, 2020 on a yacht parked at P. Diddy a.k.a. Diddy’s Star Island home.
When she arrived there, the woman says Chris approached her and offered her a drink. They went to the kitchen where he allegedly gave her a red cup with a mixed drink and they started talking. After he filled her cup a second time, the woman claims she began to feel “a sudden, unexplained change in consciousness.”
The woman says she also felt “disoriented, physically unstable, and started to fall in and out of sleep.” She claims Chris led her into a bedroom while she was “drugged” and “half-asleep.”
Inside the bedroom, Breezy allegedly removed the woman’s bikini bottoms and started kissing her. The accuser says she mumbled for Chris to stop, but he didn’t listen to her and raped her. She recalls him jumping up and announcing he was “done” after he ejaculated inside her.
The woman says Chris texted her the next day and demanded she take Plan B, which she did. The accuser’s attorneys, Ariel Mitchell and George Vrabeck, claim their client didn’t immediately report the alleged rape to cops because she was a medical student at the time and was embarrassed.
The woman is now suing Chris for $20M in damages, claiming that the alleged rape is causing her severe emotional distress. Her attorneys also says they’re “committed to victims being heard and would urge anyone with information to contact them.”
Chris has not responded to the lawsuit, but his fans have come to his defense. Most of them questioned the timing which coincides with the release of his new song “Iffy” and his plans to release his new album “Breezy”. “Every album he got an accusation lol,” one person pointed out. “Every time he starts his new era this bulls**t happens,” another similarly claimed.
Others wondered why the woman is suing instead of pressing charges. “why sue instead of press charges?” a third fan asked. “20 million though? You don’t want justice? But 20 million?” a fourth user wrote. Someone else commented, “Every time this man gets ready to drop an album some one comes with so mess. I wonder why she chooses not to call and have charges brought against him but she has no problem suing him.”
These fans, however, have been blasted by other social media users, who think that they should believe the alleged victim first. “It’s always ‘believe the victim first’ until it comes to one of your faces. You people in the replies need to seek f**king help immediately,” one called out Team Breezy.
Another wrote, “No because he is going straight to hell along with you losers in the replies defending this freak! There is no helping this man.” A third critic said, “The way people in the replies are immediately assuming this isn’t true despite his very long history of abuse allegations is concerning.” Someone else believes Chris is guilty as saying, “His a** shouldve been in jail since a long time.”
