She gushed with excitement days earlier at the prospect of being called in for jury duty.
But Chrissy Teigen seemed disappointed in an Instagram post from Thursday when she shared that she hadn’t made the cut for an upcoming trial.
Still, the 35-year-old model paused to show off her chic business-ready look and a hint of her newly reddened locks.

Chrissy looked chic in a tan velvet coat with thin lapels that reached down her her knees.
She wore a simple black blouse underneath that was only partially buttoned and paired it with high-waisted beige pants.
The 5ft9in beauty elevated her stature with black open-toe heels and accessorized with a chunky black handbag featuring a thick brown handle and a prominent gold chain.
She had her dark tresses, which still appeared to have streaks of red in them, parted down the middle and slicked down and back to frame her elegantly made-up face and dangling earrings.
Chrissy wrote that she was disappointed she didn’t get to do her civic duty.
‘I was so ready for jury duty,’ she said. ‘I finally got to wear these pants and this vest and I slicked my hair down and carried my laptop and I guess it just wasn’t in the cards for me.’

The wife of John Legend left a positive review for the workers at the Santa Monica courthouse, whom she said were ‘really wonderful.’
‘Truly so helpful and patient with everyone’s confusion and questions. And the judge was kind and informative. I learned a lot! Cool experience. 10/10!’
