Emily Ratajkowski supports newborn Sylvester’s head during an NYC outing… weeks after she was slammed for mishandling son like an ‘accessory’
Emily Ratajkowski looked eager to prove her strength as a mother after incurring backlash for mishandling baby Sylvester a few weeks back.
The 30-year-old model stepped out with her son in NYC where she was seen cradling the infant with both hands, making sure to provide neck support this time around.
Earlier this month she was slammed on social media for a series of bikini-clad images in which she held the newborn with one hand, prompting a furry of comments about the lack of support along with accusations she was using him as a mere ‘accessory.’
A proper carry! Emily Ratajkowski, 30, lovingly cradled newborn Sylvester with two hands after incurring backlash over photos in which she held him with ‘no neck support’
Mishandled: A series of bikini clad images posted from her 30th birthday trip to Turks and Caicos showed Emily holding the infant with one hand prompting a beratement from followers
But Emily was careful with her little one as she and husband Sebastian Bear-McClard walked to an Audi SUV with their pride and joy.
She donned a colorful jumpsuit with white sneakers and a baseball cap, as she tightly cradled their son with both hands.
And her producer beau of three years lugged a bag of what looked to be personal supplies for a brief outing.
Sly’s hairless head was nuzzled underneath the model’s chin and she held him close to ensure maximum safety for the almost four month old.

Backlash: A flurry of angry followers took to social media channels such as Twitter and TikTok to voice their concerns
The outing looked a far cry away from photos posted on June 6 that prompted a fury of comments from angered patrons — prompting her to disable comments on her social media carousel.
In a series of images she flaunted her incredible post baby body in an Inamorata swimsuit during a Turks and Caicos getaway, but all eyes went to her dangling newborn whose neck seemed to droop.
‘NO neck support lmfaooo wtf,’ wrote one follower on Twitter, after the images of her with Sylvester went viral for all the wrong reasons.
‘Cus its just a prop for her photo and she doesn’t want anything hiding her body…kinda weird if u think too much into,’ wrote another.
None! One user commented ‘NO neck support’ as the images of her with the infant went viral for all the wrong reasons
Prop: Another user asserted that she was using the newborn as a prop and wanted to main focus to be on her body
Side by side: One follower on Twitter compared two shots of her mishandling both the newborn and a small pug who dangled aimlessly
Accessory: Followers asserted that the beings were no more than ‘accessories’ for her
Like minded: Twitter users found comfort in knowing that were not the only ones who thought her grasp or rather lack thereof was strange
Lack of support: A seeming pet owner cited that the pug should have been held properly with ‘butt support’
And another user posted a side by side shot of the model previously mishandling a small dog with the same one hand grasp as its legs and body dangled aimlessly, prompting even more comments.
Many people asserted that both helpless beings were no more than ‘accessories,’ with one user saying that the dog had ‘no butt support.’
After the serious backlash she disabled all comments on her Instagram post.
During the Thursday outing Sebastian was seen dressed down in sweatpants and an orange long sleeve T-shirt as he helped load stuff into the car while Emily got ‘Sly’ situated.
The couple — who married in 2018 — welcomed their first child together in March and she had previously said in a Vogue story that they ‘wouldn’t know’ their child’s gender until they turned 18.
