EXCLUSIVE: Inside Martha Stewart’s intimate 81st birthday dinner at her home in Maine where the lifestyle goddess treated pals to lobster, caviar-filled potatoes and her own chardonnay

Martha Stewart celebrated her 81st birthday at her estate in Seal Harbor, Maine with her closest pals.

The icon spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com about her party, revealing that she rang in her birthday with a dinner party for 20 at her home Skylands, which is just outside Acadia National Park.

Martha had local lobster with caviar-filled roasted potatoes on the dinner menu with her chardonnay, called 19 Crimes Martha’s Chard.

‘I had a wonderful evening with close friends, a dinner party for 20,’ Martha revealed.

‘We started with beautiful roasted potatoes, out of the jacket and pureed with cream and butter, then put back in and topped with American caviar that a friend sent me for my birthday,’ she said, adding ‘A great birthday gift.’

The dinner menu also included local lobster, which was served as lobster thermidor, which is lobster served with a mornay sauce. 

It was paired with green and yellow wax string beans and a carrot puree, all sourced from Martha’s garden.

Her guests enjoyed her chardonnay, 19 Crimes Martha’s Chard, as well her pal Molly Chappellet’s Cabernet Sauvignon.

Martha’s birthday cake was a four layered coconut cream cake, served with fresh peach ice cream. 

The television personality revealed that her close friend Kevin Sharkey prepared huge floral arrangements for her house with flowers from her garden, including Hydrangeas, Snap Dragons, Delilahs and Lilies.

Her home, which was finished in 1925 by Edsel Ford, is surrounded by the Acadia National Park. 

‘We spent so much of dinner talking about the importance of America’s National Parks,’ adding that is was important to ‘protect and maintain these beautiful National Parks and to keep them going for generations to come.’

‘America has the most beautiful National Parks in the world that we all love to enjoy, especially after two years of not being able to fully travel, but we all have to make sure we take of them and support them.’ 

The lifestyle goddess also spoke to DailyMail.com about her upcoming travel plans. 

Next Friday she travels to Las Vegas for the opening party of her restaurant The Bedford by Martha Stewart.

Martha’s restaurant is located at the Paris Las Vegas.

Pretty: The flowers were all over her home, perfect for a summer birthday

‘I can’t wait to fly to Las Vegas next Friday [August 12] for the opening party of my first ever restaurant. It’s a dream come true.’

Martha chatted about the space and the inspiration behind her restaurant: ‘I’ve designed it myself and worked with the wonderful Sean McBurney of Caesars Place.’

She revealed that the ‘beautiful space was inspired by my farm in Bedford, New York.’

The 194 seat restaurant has American food on the menu and will ‘offer guests an authentic glimpse of how she lives and entertains in her own home,’ according to the official website for the new eatery.
