Faryal Makhdoom has labelled the UK government a ‘dictatorship’ over its new travel restrictions for those travelling to and from Dubai.
On Monday it was revealed the UAE had been removed from the UK’s travel corridor list, and travellers returning to the UK from there will have to quarantine following a 52 per cent surge in the number of COVID -19 cases there.

‘New rules around every corner with practically no warning. Feel like I’m living in a dictatorship.’
Celebrities are currently rushing back to the UK from Dubai before Britain forces international arrivals to have a negative Covid result up to 72 hours before they fly back.
From Friday they will need to have a negative Covid test – using a PCR test or on some occasions a LAMP or lateral flow test – from up to 72 hours before their flight.
Faryal and Amir went on holiday in Dubai last month despite her revealing she had lost her sense of taste – one of the main Covid-19 symptoms. Anyone displaying symptoms should not be able to fly.

Amir posted on his Snapchat, ‘Lovely day in Dubai’ with a video as they enjoyed a meal.
Faryal also shared Snapchat videos of their hotel pool near the five-star Burj Al Arab hotel. She said: ‘This resort is just…’ and a sticking tongue out emoji.

Khan shook hands and posed for pictures with Usman Buzdar, Chief Minister of Punjab province, during a high-profile boxing event on 19 December that he helped organise in the country.

But instead of adhering to rules for those who come into contact with anyone testing positive, Khan jetted off to Dubai where he warmly embraced Cristiano Ronaldo at an awards ceremony days later.
Under the rules, Khan should have been maintaining a two-metre distance and wearing a face mask wherever possible. Those exhibiting symptoms are required to get a test.
Just a week after the Chief Minister tested positive, Khan headed off to Dubai for the Globe Soccer Awards, posting a picture on his Instagram account in which he and Ronaldo are warmly clutching hands with the footballer placing his arm around him.
Amir was also recently accused of blatantly breaching coronavirus rules after a birthday party was held with at least 18 people in a luxurious mansion.

The former world champion from Bolton, Greater Manchester, posted a video of the large gathering on his social media, telling the camera: ‘All the boys are here.’
Khan said the party was a ‘surprise’ with his family and friends also appearing to have hired a private chef and installed a huge sign in lights displaying his nickname ‘King’.
In the video posted online, Khan told the camera: ‘All the boys are here… So, basically it was a surprise for me – and they did this for me as well, ‘King’.

‘So it was a birthday surprise in the house where I had dinner with everyone, my close friends. And we’ve brought Lamaisah along as well – Lamaisah!’
Neither police nor Khan’s representatives have yet commented on the party, which comes ahead of the couple’s new BBC reality show Meet The Khans in March 2021.
In April, Khan ignored social distancing rules after an emotional reunion with his parents, siblings and other relatives for Eid.
That some month, he was criticised for hosting a takeaway dinner for five friends at his home while the country was in lockdown.

Ironically, the boxer had earlier posted a video urging people to remain in their homes and follow the government’s coronavirus advice on social distancing.
In a grovelling apology, Amir told MailOnline: ‘I was wrong and I’m truly sorry to the British public. I should not have had this party for my friends and as soon as I posted the video, I realised that it was sending out the wrong message.
‘It was really silly of me and a very stupid thing to do. I put myself in danger and also my friends. I wish I’d listened to my own advice.
‘I can understand why some people are calling me a hypocrite, but I want to promise them, I will not do something like this again.’
Khan was contacted for comment about his trip to Pakistan and Dubai at the time.
