Defence: Despite the praise, Adil also found himself defending his co-star Richard Madeley after other fans expressed their disappointment
The presenter is currently enjoying her annual summer break from the show, leaving co-stars Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway to fill in during her absence.
And in an amusing show, Kate shocked viewers after nearly ‘knocking off’ Richard’s head as she learned to box during Tuesday’s GMB.
The broadcaster, 56, donned gloves as she was offered pointers by social media star KSI, 30, before getting a little too carried away.
Richard, 67, dutifully held out his padded hands as Kate threw her weight behind every punch.
Champion boxer KSI couldn’t contain his giggles and exclaimed: ‘Calm down!’ before ‘You’re going to knock [Richard’s] head off!’.
Kate quipped ahead of the YouTube star’s upcoming fight with Tommy Fury saying: ‘Me or Tommy?’.
Discussing his venture into boxing KSI, real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, said: ‘It kind of started as a joke. It started with me just calling out a guy called Joe Weller, he was one of the first guys doing this whole boxing thing’.
‘I called him out as a joke being like ‘Oh, I’ll fight you after you fight this other guy’ and he [Joe] won his fight, then called me out!
‘I was like “Oh no way, I don’t actually wanna fight, I’ve never fought in my life” To be put in the ring was just the worst thing I could ever think of’.
Going on to say ‘ I kind of just went for it and just enjoyed it, kept going. I kept winning and all of a sudden I’m now fighting Tommy Fury who is a professional boxer. This is a proper fight, me and him are going at it.’
