Harry Redknapp, 74, revealed he is “excited” to be a grandad again following the news his son Jamie Redknapp, 47, and girlfriend Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37, are expecting their first baby together. The football pundit already shares two sons with his ex-wife Louise Redknapp, 46.
Reports recently claimed the latter was “knocked sideways” by his news.
Jamie’s dad Harry has now said he and wife Sandra are still in touch with their ex daughter-in-law and the rest of the family.
He added they are all doing “great” and that all is fine with Louise and Jamie, according to The Sun.
Jamie’s mum added her spouse will not be helping their son with the nappy changing and joked he didn’t do it before.
The singer is yet to address her ex’s baby news publicly, however a source previously claimed she was “knocked sideways” by the announcement.
A source said: “Louise was knocked sideways by the news.
“Jamie didn’t tell her directly, she found out through family.”
They added to OK! Magazine: “She’s happy for them both and says life goes on but at the same time.
“She’s shocked by how quickly he’s moved on and that he’ll be a new dad again at nearly 50.
“A new baby is always a joy but she is concerned at how it will impact their family dynamic.”
Express.co.uk contacted a representative for Louise at the time, but received no comment.
Jamie and Frida started dating in 2020 after meeting through mutual friends.

It’s his first public relationship since he and Louise divorced in 2018.
Frida is a model and already a mum to four children.
News of her pregnancy first emerged when some of her followers shared congratulatory messages on an Instagram post.
In response to a fan, she replied with a “thank you” emoji, seemingly confirming the news.
Louise and Jamie were married for 19 years and share sons Charley and Beau together.
She is believed to have stayed single since their split four years ago.
In an excerpt from her new book, she said she had been speaking to a potential love interest, but was ghosted.
“It’s been five months and no reply,” she added, according to the publication.
