This Morning host Holly Willoughby wished her mum a very happy birthday online this week. The presenter shared a clip of her mother blowing out her birthday candles, much to the delight of her 7.2 million Instagram followers.
“Happy birthday beautiful mamma [bear]… love you,” Holly captioned the social media footage.
Her mum Lynn looked stunning in the clip, wearing a blue polka dot dress as she smiled for the camera.
The birthday girl wore her shoulder-length blonde tresses, which are remarkably similar to Holly’s, in a chic do and completed her elegant look with complementary make-up and a pair of pretty earrings.
Many took to the comments section of the post to wish her a happy birthday and commented about her likeness to her famous daughter.
“Happy birthday Lynn! And I’ll have whatever you’re having, you look incredible,” Holly’s pal Kate Thornton said.
“Appy birfday Holly and Kelly’s mum!,”(sic) added the presenter’s former Celebrity Juice co-star Keith Lemon.
“You’re so like your beautiful Mum, I hope she’s having a lovely day,” another follower chipped in.
“Can see where u get your looks. Wow, what a beautiful lady,”(sic) a fourth remarked.
Sharing a similar sentiment other social media users thought the pair looked alike.
One said: “Spit of your momma,” while another added: “Wow your double.”
“Omg your mamma is so beautiful you lucky girl to have such genes,”(sic) another person penned.
Holly herself turned 40 in February.
She was due to have a big party to celebrate the milestone but had to cancel the gathering because of the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions.
On her big day, Holly paid homage to her mum by wearing the same dress she wore for her own 40th birthday party.
At the time, she said it was to feel closer to her parents, who she had not been able to see because of the pandemic.
“I can’t be with my Mum or Dad today but wearing this in her honour makes me feel closer to them… love you Mumma!” She wrote online, next to a picture of their pair on their respective birthdays.
Earlier this week it was announced that Holly will be a guest panellist on new ITV show The Masked Dancer.
She will join Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and Strictly star Oti Mabuse.
Comedian John Bishop and Britain’s Got Taken judge David Walliams will also appear on the series.
Meanwhile, Joel Dommett will return to host the programme, which sees the celebrity panel and viewers at home try to guess who is behind the mask based on their dance moves.
