Inside Iggy Azalea's plastic surgery journey amid 'blackfishing' saga

Inside Iggy Azalea’s astonishing plastic surgery transformation – as she shrugs off allegations of blackfishing in the I Am the Stripclub video

Iggy Azalea has strongly denied allegations of ‘blackfishing’ in her latest music video, after fans accused her of using makeup and a wig to appear black or mixed-race.

But it’s not the first time the rapper has raised eyebrows with her changing looks.

The Fancy hitmaker, 31, has completely transformed herself with cosmetic tweaks and surgery over the years – from a nose job and a breast augmentation to a rumoured chin implant.

Recent photos of the hip-hop star show a completely different person compared to the fresh-faced blonde who first arrived on the celebrity scene in 2012.

In images taken when Iggy was just 23, she sports noticeably thinner lips, a larger nose and a flatter chest.

She has admitted to undergoing some procedures, including rhinoplasty and a breast augmentation.

However, she has always maintained her famous derrière is all natural.

In 2019, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Randal Haworth told Daily Mail Australia he believes the musician may have made additional changes to her facial shape.

According to Dr. Haworth, who has not treated Iggy himself, she appears to have invested in some ‘subtle’ and ‘beautiful’ refinements.

‘Iggy is what I would describe as an excellent ‘canvas’ on which a plastic surgeon can reveal his work,’ he observed.

‘When done right, results can be sublime and indiscernible to a layman’s eye.’

In addition to Iggy’s rhinoplasty, which ‘straightened and narrowed her nose’, Dr. Haworth believes she may have undergone ‘a chin augmentation as well as mandibular angle enhancement to give her a more refined, modelesque jawline’.

Before and after: Iggy’s face has certainly changed a lot over the years, as demonstrated by these photos taken in September 2012 (left) and September 2019 (right)

‘This can be done either with solid silicone implants or off-the-shelf injectable fillers, but either way, her results are spectacularly non-obvious,’ he said.

Iggy, who hails from Mullumbimby, NSW, and moved to the U.S. aged 16, has never concealed the fact she has undergone a breast enlargement.

‘Four months ago, I got bigger boobs! I’d thought about it my entire life,’ she told fashion bible Vogue in 2015.

Quite the difference! Iggy’s face looked remarkably different in this photo taken in late 2014 with rapper T.I.

She later spoke about her new look with E! and explained why she decided to go public with the news.

‘I love them so much I had to talk about them,’ she revealed. ‘Everybody did say, “I don’t think you need to say it because no one will ever know because they’re so small.” I said, “I know but I’m just going to say it [because] I’m a blabber mouth!”‘

‘I’d feel better not to have some secret. It’s much freer to say it and then you don’t have to worry someone will dig it up,’ she added.

However, despite her candid attitude to surgery, bootylicious Iggy steadfastly denies rumours she has undergone ‘butt implants’.

She told Australian radio program Stav, Abby & Matt in 2017: ‘No, I don’t have bum implants! They’re not my real boobs, but it is my real butt.’

Iggy was forced to defend her latest look last week after being accused of ‘blackfishing’ in the music video for I Am the Stripclub.

The music video saw Iggy rap and dance in a makeshift truck with male dancers in fishnet stockings and leotards dancing behind her.

Defending herself in a series of tweets on Friday, Iggy told her critics she was using the ‘same shade’ of makeup she’d used for three years, and branded the allegations ‘ridiculous and baseless’.

‘I’m the same colour as I always am, just in a dimly lit room with red lights,’ she said.

Hitting back: Defending herself in a series of tweets on Friday, Iggy told her critics she was using the ‘same shade’ of makeup she’d used for three years

‘It’s the same makeup from every other part of the video just with a Smokey eye and different wig. Just ignore them, who cares? Let em talk.’

After several more accusations, she shared a picture of Armani’s makeup range, saying she used shade six foundation, and furiously added: ‘This is the colour I wear, it’s on the arm colour of a tan white person.

‘I’m not wearing crazy dark makeup at ALL. Everyone in the club scene looks darker. It’s a club scene!

Defence: Iggy denied any suggestion she was trying to make herself look black or mixed-race, and posted screenshots from the Armani makeup website to show the shade she uses

‘I’m sick of ppl trying to twist my words or make s**t a problem when all I’ve done is try a hair colour.’

In response to another critic, she tweeted: ‘I can’t care about something that ridiculous and baseless. I’m wearing a shade six in Armani foundation; it’s the same shade I’ve worn for the last three years.’

‘It’s the same shade in every music video since Sally Walker. Suddenly I wear a black wig in a club scene and it’s an issue.’

At her wits’ end: ‘I’m sick of ppl trying to twist my words or make s**t a problem when all I’ve done is try a hair colour,’ Iggy tweeted
