Dan was met with criticism online when he failed to discipline the toddler for slapping him in the face.
He filmed the moment and posted it on his Instagram Stories – only to receive a negative reaction from some of his followers.
In the clip, Dan is lying down as his daughter holds her hand over his mouth and then repeatedly slaps him.
The father-of-three laughs as he says: ‘What is wrong with you? I’ve got this on video. You’re going to see it back and you are going to say sorry.’
After another slap, he joking said: ‘Jesus Christ. That’s not good baby, that hurt. Oh my god, I’ve just been knocked out.’
He uploaded the video to his 1.1million followers with the caption: ‘How can someone be so cute then turn to this. Terrible 2’s in full swing,’ along with a crying face emoji.

The television star later revealed that concerned fans messaged him asking why he didn’t discipline his daughter for hitting him.
Dan replied: ‘I’ve already had a couple of people jump on it. “Why are you letting your daughter do that? What if she did that to another kid?”
‘No my kids play fight with their dad, they’ll hit their dad and I take a smack. So what? That’s what dads are for.
‘They know not to do it to other kids. We are not even around any other kids. They just hit their dad. Calm down. They are not hitting you, are they?’
