‘I spoke this into existence!’ James Argent reflects on his 11 stone weight loss after vowing to be ‘fit and strong’ by Christmas following life-saving gastric band surgery
James Argent, 34, has reflected on his 11-stone weight loss as he prepared to celebrate Christmas, after a year which saw him undergo life-saving gastric band surgery.
The TOWIE star, who weighed 27 stone at his heaviest, took to Instagram to share a video at the beginning of his weight loss journey, followed by a snap taken ahead of the festive season.
Writing he ‘spoke his weight loss into existence,’ James could be seen beaming as he donned a snowman t-shirt to display his brand new slimline physique.

In his Instagram post, James shared a shirtless video showing his body before he underwent weight loss surgery.
In a gym he said: ‘By Christmas or possibly the end of the summer, this isgonna be shredded, the back fat is going to be be gone, I’m going to be fit as a fiddle! Feeling fit and strong.’
Arg accompanied the video with a recent photo showing his brand new body, donning a festive t-shirt with the iconic Snowman.
He penned the caption: ‘I spoke this into existence. Dream It. Believe It. Become It! Merry Christmas Everyone, Love Arg.’

The TOWIE stars posed together for a photo at Simply Seafood, with James sporting a navy velour tracksuit with a pair of white trainers, while Georgia looked effortlessly stylish in a green leggings and a matching hoodie.
She wrapped up warm in a black puffer jacket and opted to go makeup free to let her natural beauty shine through.
James also posed for a snap alongside Georgia’s boyfriend Tommy Mallet, who donned a black gilet over a grey top and black jogging bottoms.
This week, the TV personality showcased his intense workout regime as he hit the gym with EastEnders actor Charles Venn, 48.

He could been seen working up a sweat as he took part in the tough strength and conditioning class at Box Up Gyms.
James, posed for a photo next to a shredded Charles as he joked: ‘Remind me never to take a shirtless pic with @charles_venn again.’
Taking to his Story to document his hard work, a very sweaty James, turned to the camera and shouted ‘Lets go!’
He panned around the gym as everyone worked on their fitness in the intense workout with multiple different exercise stations.
At his heaviest, James weighed in at 27 stone, but now weighs just 15st 7lb.
James told The Sun in a new interview that he was on the brink of death but hadn’t listened to doctors when they warned him.

He admitted he weighed a whopping 27 stone after guzzling down a string of takeaways and fizzy drinks while the coronavirus pandemic left him housebound due to his asthma and morbidly obese state.
The ‘big wake up call’ came when his mum Patricia wept at the sight of her ‘unrecognisable’ son, who had ballooned after replacing his cocaine addiction with unhealthy grub.
After he binged the high-calorie meals, James was left exhausted so would stay at home on a regular basis. However, one afternoon she found him in bed and began crying.
He admitted: ‘I could have been a goner, so I just knew I had to do something.’
The surgery saw 70 percent of his stomach was removed in the £10,000 operation, which now means he must not drink liquid half an hour before or after eating, with his much-loved fizzy drinks prohibited.
