He recently returned to the studio to host his famous Late Late Show after fronting the series from his home in Los Angeles.

And James Corden displayed the results of his one stone weight loss as he arrived for lunch at Nobu in Malibu on Saturday.

The TV host, 42, cut a casual figure for the afternoon outing, sporting a navy polo shirt and matching trousers.

Stepping out of his car, the Gavin And Stacey star added to his outfit with white trainers and a pair of sunglasses.

His hair freshly cropped, James also put safety first as he sported a black face mask while entering the swanky venue.

The chat show host has lost a stone since he joined WW after becoming ’embarrassed’ about his body.

James revealed in the New Year that he has signed up to the health and fitness programme to help shift the conversation around wellness.

He said on WW’s Facebook: ‘I want to change the way that I live. I want to be better for my children and for my family. I don’t want to wake up tired, or feel embarrassed when I’m chasing my son on the soccer field and out of breath after three minutes.’

James recently insisted that there is ‘absolutely no truth’ in rumours of him ‘replacing’ Ellen DeGeneres on her eponymous talk show.

James put the record straight on his own show as he played a game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts with Alicia Keys.

The screen star revealed how he ‘genuinely’ did not know where the rumour ‘even came from’ and said it would be ‘really crazy’ to take over from Ellen, 62, who has hosted her own show since 2003.

Asked by Alicia if the rumours were true, the thespian said: ‘That is a very… happily I will answer it because I don’t even know where, genuinely I don’t know where that even came from.

‘I think somebody started a rumour somewhere and someone jumped on it. There is absolutely no truth in that story at all – zero.’

Over the last few months, Ellen has faced allegations that she treated staffers with little or no respect and that senior producers allowed and encouraged a toxic work environment.

Earlier this year, the broadcaster kicked off the 18th season of her talk show by telling her virtual audience she was ‘taking responsibility’ for the scandal, while also acknowledging she was not the villain that several reports had suggested.
