Ulrika Jonsson has revealed she is in the midst of a ‘sexual awakening’ and has even discussed her new found liberation with her children.

The doting mother, 52, explained: ‘I am a sexual creature. It’s something that I say regularly to my children — much to their horror.’

The TV personality also confessed her spontaneous nature means she ‘wouldn’t rule out’ another marriage.

When asked in an interview with The Sun whether or not she’d tie the knot again, Ulrika said: ‘I’m a hedonist and a spontaneous person who believes in love. While it would feel strange getting married again, I can’t ever rule it out for the future.’

Discussing her sex life, Ulrika added: ‘I enjoy sex, I want to have sex and I am open to experience that. And it’s difficult for women my age to say that without being seen in a certain way.’

Ulrika is mother to Cameron, 25, Bo, 20, Martha, 14 and Malcolm, 11.

In 2019 Ulrika announced her split from husband Brian Monet after eleven years of marriage.

Ulrika and Brian wed in 2008 and share Malcolm. They began their relationship in 2006.

In 2014, Brian also adopted her daughter Bo from the presenter’s relationship with German hotel boss Markus Kempen.

The father of Ulrika’s son Cameron is John Turnbull, who she was married to between 1990-1995.

Bo has been in and out of hospital over the years as a result of her condition – she was born with double inlet left ventricle defect, a congenital defect that affects the valves and chambers of the heart.

As a baby, she had to undergo life-saving surgery on her heart – but Ulrika did not reveal what had caused Bo to be hospitalised.

Ulrika told fans about her sleepless night on Tuesday as she awaited word from the doctors.

She later told fans Bo who she refers to as ‘oldest female ungrateful’ was no longer in hospital and that ‘nothing has been solved yet.’

She also shared a picture of Boo saying: ‘Miss you stoopid.’

The TV presenter shared a series of snaps to her Instagram Stories of Bo lying down at the doctor’s office as she received a liver scan.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star posted a photo of the pair sat together in the waiting room as she called Bo her ‘CHD Warrior’.

In another, Bo could be seen in the doctor’s office sporting a face mask with Ulrika captioning the snap: ‘Gonna be a loooong day’.

Ulrika and Bo had to sit apart for some of the day as the star snapped her daughter sporting a white bandage in the waiting room.

It comes after Ulrika shared her delight and relief after her eldest daughter received a Covid vaccine in February.

Sharing a family picture, a smiling Ulrika posed a picture with Bo, who was casually flipping the bird in her pyjamas in the background.

Ulrika wrote: ‘She’s back home, full of the joys of spring.’

The doting mother-of-four revealed her heartache in November when Bo was hospitalised and she was unable to visit her amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The former weather presenter wrote at the time: ‘The face of no sleep.

‘Fireworks, oldest Ungrateful [the playful name she gives her children] ends up in A&E miles away and I can’t go to her. Dog vomits, twice. #happythursday.’

While Ulrika didn’t specify what was wrong with her daughter at the time, in September Ulrika admitted Bo was ‘terrified’ before Britain went into lockdown and was taking risks by going to university.

The TV star’s daughter has a compromised immune system and an underlying cardiac condition and began her second year of university amid the pandemic.
