Many critics have been praising the performances of Jennifer Lawrence and co-star Brian Tyree Henry in the new film Causeway.

And on Friday the duo continued with the promotional push by attending a special Apple Original Films and A24 FYC screening of the psychological drama, which also included a Q-and-A session with fans and journalists, at the Ross House in Los Angeles.

In the film, Lawrence plays Lynsey, a U.S. soldier, who experiences a traumatic brain injury during her tour in Afghanistan which forces her to return home.

She struggles to return to her daily life with her mother as she awaits redeployment.

The actress, 32, and Henry, 40, posed for several photos ahead of the event.

Lawrence, who only became a first-time mother when she gave birth to her son CY this past February, showed off her fit figure in a colorful form-fitting dress with a slit down the left side.

She flaunted her left leg during one pose, which also revealed her black leather heels.

Rounding out her overall look, the Kentucky native wore her blonde tresses long and flowing down past her shoulders with the exception of her hair in the front.

World premiere: The psychological drama had its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival in September

Henry opted for a casual-cool outfit in black and white checkered overcoat over camouflage pants, a tan sweater and rustic brown boots.

The actor plays James, a mechanic who forges an unlikely friendship with Lynsey after her rehabilitation, according to Deadline. 

Causeway director Lila Neugebauer, along with producers Justine Ciarrocchi and Deadline journalist Pete Hammond also joined in for a a few photos.

All four then sat down to field questions for the Q-And-A portion of the event after a screening of the film. 

Lawrence talked about the experience of playing a soldier who suffers a traumatic brain injury while on a deployment who then struggles to adjust to life back home.

Along with Lawrence and Henry, Causeway also stars , Linda Emond, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Jayne Houdyshell, Russell Harvard, Joshua Hull, Fred Weller, Sean Carvajal, Will Pullen and Neal Huff. 

After having its world premiere at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival in September, the movie had a limited release in theaters on October 28, and then dropped on Apple TV+ on November 4.
