EXCLUSIVE: ‘I am ready to lose my virginity’: Jessica Alves, 37, admits she never had a gay relationship when she was a man but hopes to find ‘a magical love’ since transitioning

Jessica Alves has admitted she avoided relationships with gay men while she was a man and that she hopes to lose her ‘virginity’ to someone ‘special’ now that she has transitioned into a woman.
Speaking exclusively to MailOnline, just five days after undergoing a six-hour Penile-Peritoneal Vaginoplasty, Jessica, 37, opened up about the ‘lonely’ experience of struggling with her identity.
‘When I stared my transition after my trip to Thailand in 2019 a lot of people thought that it was a press stunt simply because a lot people didn’t take me seriously,’ she said. ‘People just assumed that i was a plastic surgery addict when, in fact, I was trying to find myself and who I really was!’

Of past romantic or intimate experiences, Jessica went on: ‘I have never had a relationship with a gay man because my brain has always been female. I remember when I was growing up I used to wear my mothers clothing and dance around the house and that was when I was happy.
‘I am still healing but I already have a vagina and she is perfect. Dr Kamol at Kamol hospital has a catalogue of his work. I am 37-years-old and I chose a vagina that looks young – the equivalent of an 18-year-old’s.
‘My vagina will function the same as a biological vagina and in three months from now I will be able to lose my virginity and to have intercourse.’
Of the prospect of this, she added: ‘The issue is that I don’t have anyone on my radar yet. I want that day to be magical and special even, so if I have to wait longer for it I will do so until the right man for my me comes along.’

Jessica underwent the procedure on February 17 said is recovering well and feeling comfortable.
She told MailOnline that her family have been incredibly supportive of her decision to get surgery – which cost her £13,700.
But she admits that not everyone has been so accepting of her decision.
‘I lost most of the people that I assumed were my friends. They could not cope with the changes,’ she regretfully revealed. ‘2020 was a very lonely year with Covid restrictions – but I was able to have my feminisation surgeries and do my hormone therapy all privately as the waiting list on the NHS to have the first assessment is three years so I could not rely on it.’

Adding to this feeling of isolation, Jessica admits she has never met another trans woman.
‘I have never met a trans woman in my life. I have never had anyone to look up to. I just followed my heart,’ she said.
She also reveals how she has lost work thanks to her transition.
‘Over the past eight years I have been working as a TV personality in many countries, I have done more then 400 TV shows in 23 countries. I knew that once I came out as a trans woman I would lose a lot of work. I lost TV contracts in Russia, Romenia, the USA and Spain, including branding and products endorsements,’ she revealed.

She went on: ‘In the UK we have laws to protect trans people. But to be a trans person in the UK is still something alien and most of society don’t know how to treat or to address a trans person using the right pronouns. Or even ask how the person would like to be addressed.
‘There have been a few times at my GP practice or at airports where I have lost my cool when people who are supposed to be helping me still used male pronouns and that felt like a knife into my chest.
‘In the UK we must see trans people integrated as part of society, they must have work opportunities and we need more trans people also on TV and in films. That will be a way to teach society that we are equals.’
Jessica admits how she would spend her pre-surgery life putting on a front.

‘I would attend a party or an event or even a TV show wearing beautiful fitted suits when in fact I wanted to wear dresses,’ she said. ‘As soon as would get back home or back to the hotel I would strip off and do my make up and put a wig on and heals and sit on my sofa to watch a movie alone.
‘While living as a man I was really unhappy, I tried to fulfill myself with lavish expensive travels and clothing and more and more plastic surgery up to the point that I became a cross-dresser in secret four years ago.
‘It feels like I have been born again at the age of 37.’

Jessica, who found fame as TV star The Human Ken Doll, explained: ‘I went to this hospital because it is one of the best in the world for transgender people.
‘The peritoneal tissue used is very similar to a vagina as it is elastic and self-lubricates.
‘This modern technique doesn’t demand a lifetime of dilation unlike the other options of penile inversion or using the colon.

Jessica, who previously said she regrets spending over £600k on cosmetic surgery ‘to be the man she thought she should be’ before coming out as transgender said her outer labia and visible vagina has been created using penile tissue.
She praised the surgeon for being ‘one of the best’ and leaving her without a ‘scar in sight’.
She adds: ‘I feel very drowsy after my surgery but happy that I am finally a woman.
‘I feel great when I look at myself in the mirror. My life is going to be so much better as I feel beautiful now.
‘I will return to London in six weeks, and I can’t wait to go shopping as there was so many outfits, I couldn’t wear due to my penis.
It made me very self-conscious and upset. But now I can finally be myself.’
Back in July, Jessica spoke about her wish to have surgery during an interview on This Morning.
She said at the time: ‘I have been developing as a person and as a human being. I was born a transgender woman.
‘Throughout the years you have known me, I was fighting the fact that I have always been a woman inside myself.’
Jess said: ‘I will return to London in six weeks, and I can’t wait to go shopping as there was so many outfits, I couldn’t wear due to my penis’
She continued: ‘It made me very self-conscious and upset. But now I can finally be myself’
Host Ruth Langsford, 60, asked: ‘What about love in your life?’
Jessica said: ‘First, is to love yourself. My priority is myself and my transition. I would like to have a child and like to have a baby.
‘I visualise myself taking care of my baby and being with someone who loves me and accepts for me for who I am.’
Ruth noted: ‘All of your [previous] surgeries were to become more masculine. Did you always know you wanted to be Jessica?’
Jessica said: ‘I’ve always known I was a woman, since the age of three, four, five, six. I always played with dolls and was in touch with my feminine side.
‘I started cross dressing at home in secret. I would sit in secret in front of the television and nobody knew. I was trying to be a man. I had a six pack, big arms.
‘I tried my best to be a male because I was born in this body. But I was very depressed and unhappy. I transitioned or I died, one or the other.’
Eamonn Holmes, 61, listed the surgeries Jessica has had in the past at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds, including facial feminisation, breast enlargement, having her Adam’s apple removed, lower body procedures, hormones…’
Jessica said: ‘I still need two or three more surgeries to complete my transition and then I swear for God, I’ll be done with plastic surgery.
‘There’s only so much a body can take. But I had to do it to reach the person I am today. What I’m doing today, it’s right for me.
‘I don’t wish I transitioned earlier because I had to go through all of that and what I was going through inside myself. Having said that, surgeries can be risky.
‘I am a very healthy person and don’t drink. I sleep well and I eat well. I need three more to complete my transition and then I’m done.’
