Jill Duggar Accuses Dad Jim Bob of Being ‘Controlling’ and ‘Verbally Abusive’ in Shocking Court Docs

In the newly unsealed paperwork, the former star of ‘Counting On’ states that her estranged relationship with her father is ‘not good’ as ‘it got pretty toxic.’

AceShowbiz -More details of Jill Duggar‘s troubled relationship with Jim Bob Duggar have emerged. The former “Counting On” star accused her dad of being “verbally abusive” in the newly unsealed court documents from her 2017 lawsuit.

In the paperwork which was obtained by The Sun on Wednesday, May 11, the 30-year-old former reality star wrote, “I saw a whole new side to my dad once my husband and I started making decisions that were best for our family, but not in his best interest.” She continued, “Sadly, I realized he had become pretty controlling, fearful and reactionary. He was verbally abusive. Our relationship is not good. It got pretty toxic.”

Jill, who filed the suit against people responsible for releasing a police report that detailed how brother Josh Duggar sexually abused them, went on to explain that while they “occasionally text on a family group thread,” she did not feel “comfortable” being around her father in a casual setting. She stressed, “It isn’t good for my mental health right now.”

The court records also stated that Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, were “asked not to come over” to the Duggar family home without explicit permission. This was because Jim Bob did not approve of certain personal decisions Jill made as an adult, including “having a nose ring,” “drinking alcohol” or “wearing pants” rather than modest dresses.

The legal papers also took a swing at the Duggar family patriarch for not providing his daughters with “adequate” therapy after the alleged molestation incident occurred. “Unlike most who claim to have been sexually assaulted, the Plaintiffs, in this case, were forced to live with their alleged assailant for years after their respective assaults,” the suit claimed.

“The Plaintiffs were also not provided treatment, or, at least, adequate treatment (none of them can even recall the name of the counselor they vaguely recall talking to once, as a group and with their mother/parents in attendance), to deal with the trauma of the assault,” the records read. “No real measures were taken by their parents to ensure their safety during the remainder of their adolescence.”

Jill further insisted that she finds herself “emotionally overwhelmed and prone to tears” on a regular basis due to “ubiquitous triggers” connected with the incident and her family life. She later noted that she “tries to bury it.”

Josh, who was never convicted of a crime in connection with the alleged molestation of his sisters and other unnamed victims, is currently serving time behind bars for receiving and possessing child pornography. He faces up to 40 years in prison.
