Donda is a meaningful name to the Chicago-born star.

It’s his late mother’s first name and he subsequently titled his tenth studio album after her.

With the September 21 filing of the document, Ye seeks to expand his empire via the new venture.

West is no stranger to stepping outside the box, as he’s built a career around doing the unexpected.

This comes after the musician filed a previous trademark application in September to feature his name on a line of homeware goods.

The documents specify that the ‘Kanye West’ homeware line will include shower curtains, textile wall hangings, towels, placemats and an array of blankets.

The brand will potentially produce bed blankets, throw blankets and golf blankets using materials like silk, cashmere and fleece.

Kanye also has trademarked the name of his streetwear clothing line Yeezy and his film production company Half Beast.

Being the business savvy pair they are, the designer and his soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian have also trademarked the names of their four children, North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm West.

Despite filing for divorce earlier this year, the two co-parents have maintained a close and amicable relationship with each other.
